pinotpie asked: Just found your blog and I am amazed. Some of this stuff is crazy good. How did you make 140227 in cinema 4d?
Thanks man! 140227 was done by running a Sweep NURBS along a spline that had a noise shader applied to it to create the “soundwave” part. I then cloned a few circle spline along the aforementioned linear splines with noise shaders applied to them to create a randomized radius. The background was just a cylinder with an atom array applied to it. The “noise” effect was done with displacement maps and found footage in after effects.
I saw something kinda similar awhile back and decided to put my own spin on it.
camdonius asked: Your work is quite impressive. I really like Ocean Void.
Thank you very much! I’ve actually been trying to come up with a sequel of sorts to that one for awhile, but no luck yet.
Over 1000 followers?! What the fuck? Like, I’m sure that’s peanuts to some, but as a guy who just makes funky shit in his spare time for fun, that’s pretty cool. Thank you all very much for the likes, reblogs, fan mail, and so forth.
Drop me a line if any of you want to talk shop some time.
itwasnotthebishopofrochester asked: I can see these in mad scientist labs... you could do that, make an animated scene where all the monitors use these animations!
That would be cool, but tumblr would have to severely decrease the limitations on gifs
euronova asked: Your work is exactly the kind of inspiration I needed today!! Thank you for being awesome as all hell.
And thank you for such high praise. Now go make cool shit.
xeronimo asked: Hi, I assume your doing some of you stuff in Processing?
Nope. I tried Processing briefly back when for pixel sorting use. Programming is not my thing. All my stuff is done in Cinema 4D with After Effects for post production crap like adding noise and distortion and stuff.
